Our History
Dawakhana Tibbiya College, Aligarh Muslim University was established in 1950 and transformed into a center of excellence in providing quality Unani Medicine as per the ideals and objectives laid down by then Vice-Chancellor and former President of India, (Late) Janab Dr. Zakir Husain Saheb.
At Dawakhana Tibbiya College, a blend of old and new techniques is utilized to produce more than 300 high-quality medicines for various diseases. Strict high standards of hygiene and quality are maintained with special care in selecting purest ingredients for the products.
Now Dawakhana has been transformed into a full-fledged manufacturing unit of Unani Medicines
In recent years, due to high quality and reasonable prices, the demand for Dawakhana’s product has increased manifold.
In the last 75 years, Dawakhana Tibbiya College has grown up into a full-fledged factory producing quality medicines to cater the need of the society. With Authority licenses like Goods Manufacturing Practices (GMP) license, Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) license, DTC in compliance is bound to produce quality medicines and health products. The Unani System of medicine and products of Dawakhana is suitable for the Indian climate, lifestyle, and economic conditions, and millions of people of all classes are benefited from its medicines.
There is a well-equipped R & D and Quality Control Laboratory in Dawakhana Tibbiya College, to ensure the production of quality medicines. The lab is continuously progressing towards achieving high standards.
